NHS England has run a public consultation on plans to relocate Mount Vernon Cancer Centre to a new facility next to Watford General Hospital and open a new chemotherapy unit at Hillingdon Hospital. The consultation will ran from 19 January to 29 March 2026.
The proposals are particularly relevant to people living in parts of Buckinghamshire and Berkshire
Subject to the outcome of the consultation and final due diligence, University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust would become responsible for running Mount Vernon Cancer Centre services, which are currently provided by East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust.
Members of the public, patients, staff and stakeholders have been able to share their views on proposals to relocate the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre to a new, purpose-built facility next to Watford General Hospital, managed by University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH).
